Visuals speak louder than words.
Hi there! I’m Tiffany Chen, my passion lies in using art as a way to voice for underserved communities and make a positive impact on the communities I care about.
During my time at Parsons, I had the chance to collaborate with organizations like Pen America, illustrating poems from incarcerated individuals and helping AIGA redesign its manifesto. I also worked as an illustrator for The New School Free Press, connecting words and visuals; that’s when I realized visuals can speak louder than words. Summing up my past experiences, I am an illustrator, graphic designer, and, most importantly, a product designer.
What I’ve been up to...
Recently, I completed my internship at Nuubi, an educational startup focused on building a friendly learning community. There, I worked on user research and interface design for their mobile app. Now, I'm pursuing my Master’s in Engineering, Design, and Innovation at Northwestern, where I'm exploring how thoughtful design can be both visually appealing and beneficial for the community.
During my spare time...
When I’m not dreaming up designs in a Figma file, I’m probably exploring the intersection of digital art and human-centered design at Northwestern University, or scrolling through itsnicethat and Pinterest for inspos. When I’m not online, I enjoy engaging in deep conversations, and walking along Lake Michigan when the sun’s out:)
Have a question, some feedback, or an outrageous idea?
Please, please, please send it my way :)
